St. Luke and St. Peter's Episcopal Church is a part of the Central Florida Diocese and is Orthodox/Anglican oriented. It is located in one of the fastest growing counties in Florida.
In 1892 a small band of English settlers, spearheaded by Lt. Col.W.E.Cadman started construction of our early church in Narcoossee. In 1898, the building was consecrated by the Rev.William Crane Gray. It was dubbed St.Peters Episcopal Church. The colony of settlers drifted apart and the church stood empty for many years. St.Luke's mission was founded in 1913, meeting in a social hall till 1930. The Rev.Clayton M. Legge contacted Jane Cadman about using the Narcoossee church and on October 31,1930, the church was dismantled and reconstructed on 10th and Florida. The church was renamed St.Luke and St.Peters. In 1970 the church was moved again. This time it was moved in one piece to 10th And Illinois. In 1990, the church moved from its location in downtown St. Cloud out to a beautiful 15 acre campus in the southern part of the city - right in the middle of numerous new housing developments. St. Luke and St. Peter's draws people from a large geographic region stretching from Kissimmee to Holopaw and is rich in cultural diversity. We are a multi-generational church with four generations represented in some families. We prize our children as our future and we honor our elderly. We are committed to giving parents the tools they need to raise children in a difficult world and we offer the educational programs that all ages need to become the people Jesus wants us to be.
